[Vwdiesel] Pulley Wobble

I have a couple mm of wobble in the pulley assembly on my 1994 Jetta TD engine.  I can see the indicated edge (arrow) at  http://www.pbase.com/kneale_brownson/image/84035954 moving in and out some while it spins.  Same for the smaller pulley with the belt for water and power steering pumps.  The smaller bolts are tight.  
   
  I'm told the keyway on the cranshaft is suspect in these circumstances.  What all do I need to pull to check that?  If the keyway is bad, what's the fix?
