[Vwdiesel] Weird brakes

If it was a 'check-valve' in the hose then loosening a line at the master
cylinder shouldn't be able to release the pressure off of it, right?

Is the gasket just an o-ring? I'll be going to Halsey Import tomorrow anyway
so I'll pick up whatever gasket goes in there just in case.
