[Vwdiesel] New head installed 91 ECO

When you put the head on, did you take the lifters from your other head? Since your motor was running well before the head swap, I would say spun main bearings are not the issue here. Still have low oil pressure, so could be part of the issue, but I am leaning towards intermed. shaft bearings like my engine needs them.
But, you have had the oil analyzed before and you did see metal particulant, so he could be onto something as well with the main bearings.
Sad to say, Nick.
I am not sure how to tell if mains are bad, can you just drop the pan and drop the journals to see?

Anyway, lifters need to pump up, especially when new! They will sound real bad for up to 5 minutes possibly may even need a short easy drive down the road.

You did all the right things on setting the timing, that is for sure.
