[Vwdiesel] question about repair/rebuilt of injection pumps

Do you guys dig into the VE pumps to the extent of replacing _all_ the 
seals?  If I want to do this myself on my '84 NA 1.6 Rabbit, what should 
I be prepared for?

Also, my pump has a screwdriver adjustment near where the cold-start 
cable attaches to the lever on the pump -  I assume this is some sort of 
fine adjustment for timing -  true?
