Found & fixed coolant leak. Found that after a day or two, the IP looses it's prime. After repriming the IP, it starts readily BUT a drip of diesel fuel drops from the lower rear of the IP at the at the rate of about one per second. Can't see where it is coming from but it is not from the 4 pipes that go from the IP to the injectors. Am I going to have to remove the IP & is this a DIY or just find a good place to overhaul the pump? FYI, this is an '82 Quantum turbodiesel. Are these IPs interchangeable with earlier IPs? I note there is something on top of the Quantum's IP that is not on the earlier IPs.
