[Vwdiesel] More Quantum Questions?

Bill,
You can stop using your mighty vac now.

The quote from below:
"Interesting note. I was able to pump fuel out the outlet side of the IP
whether the ignition was off or on. Shouldn't the fuel stop solenoid prevent
fuel flow if the ignition switch is off."

Note the solenoid ONLY stops fuel being supplied to that centre plug, which
supplies the high pressure squirt to the injector lines. Removing power
supply to solenoid and cranking engine will STILL pump diesel through pump
and back to the tank. This is normal.

Questions:
1) Will fuel pass back towards tank if you crank engine? [just a couple of
revs should do now].
2) If you have fuel coming out of that timing hole, then it should be pushed
from there out of the lines. Disconnect lines again. Perhaps even totally
remove them, and with a fully powered solenoid, crank a couple of turns and
you should get fuel out of the lines or out of the pump outlets...

Report back ;o)

Mark
