Getting closer!

1) Not my idea initially to tow ;o)
2) Free up the idle stop screw so that the engine will idle when started.
3) Loosen all bolts holding pump still, and then tighten bottom one 
slightly.
4) Start her up and move pump. Moving wont damage engine, or affect cam to 
crank set, so is safe at idle.
Note it could be that your injectors are way off with their break pressure. 
This will affect injection timing slightly. Can you check your injectors 
spray pattern?
5) Check your dial gauge by comparing the movement with a ruler.
6) At idle check volume of diesel returning to tank 1/2 litre ball-park is 
good...
