[Vwdiesel] Proportioning Valve

Good Evening,

 

I need to do some major brake work on my 85 Quantum Diesel.  I prefer that as my primary vehicle with a Jetta or two as backup vehicles.

 

There is a pretty good leak at the proportioning valve.  I haven't found a source for replacement parts and advice received thus far is to just bypass that valve.

 

Does anybody have any insight into this problem?
