[Vwdiesel] Mk2 Jetta SB engine??

I was at the shop today, and saw a SB engine code 1.6TD in a 92 Jetta,
with coolant piped to the KKK - K13 turbo.  Hmm, I thought all hydraulic
turbodiesels were MF, and the ecodiesel 1v??  Is this a North American
car?

I also have a mechanical head ME block, that shouldn't be??  The block
is stamped ME, I've got the single port mechanical head that I took off
it right here!  Hmmm..

Maybe I'm confusing myself...
