[Vwdiesel] More Quantum Questions?

Yes try tilting pump top a little towards the engine for advance, then try
the other way.

A little squirt may happen just after stopping, if you release the fuel
lines. However, I've just been reading and early book, that apparently the
four fuel cut off valves , dont just shut off, but also sink back into
themselves a bit and so reduce residual pressure in the lines and so speed
up injector fuel cut off between injections. Bosch may have changed their
minds about that though....

If lumpiness won't go away when running even with timing alteration, then
try releasing fuel line for each injector in turn, until one line
[hopefully] has no effect. Hold a rag to the injector as you are doing that
to prevent spray hitting you.
