[Vwdiesel] Which is the preferred installation

I see that there are two (2) different implementation of the toothed belt cover for some MK1 and MK2 diesels. There is the metal cover with the always hard to find two (2) types of metal bushings and there is the back plate with the hard to find plastic cover with clips. Where does one find 068 109 123 G the upper cover for the MK2 models? Thanks.
