I advanced the IP (moved towards the engine) & it now starts with 3 or 4 tries. It also has a diesel rattle that was suggested but didn't exist before. However, no change in sound or RPM when the cold start is out or in. Am wondering it the IP is now advanced too far?
Something I failed to mention was I did not new injector washers per Bentley instructions nor did I hit the old washers in the center so that the center part would be raised to mate with the injector. Could this have any effect on starting? If not, why does Bentley instruct using new washers when an injector is R&R'ed.
