Since a clutch is so rarely replaced the seals that are in that area should be replace because if it fails you either will be doing the clutch again or will be doing at least the labor for the clutch to fix a $2 seal. Also there is a couple different styles of seals now. One, the housing has a built in seal and a cup in it to help get the seal over the crank. You push and the cup falls out and it slides on. Down side is you have to take some oil pan bolts out and the seal bolts and since the oil pan gasket is likely cork and not rubber that might be the wrong way to go. Otherwise the plain old seal is fine. Hard to wrestle it in place while on a creeper under the car as it is hard to get the lip of the seal over the crank in that position. To get seal out you can thread a screw in the seal and pull it out.
