[Vwdiesel] More Quantum Questions?

Yea it has to be something irritatingly simple. If my 'Q' can run on 7 stuck 
rings and compression lower than a gasser....

Is there any way of knowing how much better new springs would be compared 
with my old ones on My Quantum? Has anyone ever done a spring compression 
measurement with a known loading, either in or out of the car?  All info 
seems to be directed at the fools who wish to lower their Golfs, and now I 
see a new fashoon called the rat look, where good paint is scraped off for a 
varnished rust effect...
