[Vwdiesel] Rabbit Hunting!--Which relay to use?

Started tinkering a bit. The guy said he had put the glow plugs in, but then realized that he didn't know for sure if they were fast or slow. This was part of the reason he didn't bother to continue working on it.
Anyway, I pulled the four plugs.
There are two Champion CH160
and two Autolite 1101
I hooked each one to a battery. The Champions were red within about a 7 count, while the Autolites took about 11 to match the champions' redness. (Though they were close to turning red, just not quite as hot til 11.)
I have a slow glow relay in the car, and a fast glow relay in my stash.
I couldn't find any way to tell for sure which plugs they were, though signs seem to point toward the fast ones, and the Autolites aren't quite as good.
