Some have reported a lost of MPG and others stayed the same. Brother and I haven't noticed any real difference other then a spotless intake still. I left my cooler on thinking it would warm the coolant better in the winter but I haven't noticed anything and if anything it is cooling the coolant more so I will likely delete that out sometime. We took the whole valve out as dieselgeeks kit doesn't give you the last plate to do that. We have the Q-loader and our engines are the BEW. Some have done the MAF twist like dieselgeek has a link to on the web site. We also have some water screens in the CCV to catch oil before it goes into the intake system. Works very well for around $32.
