[Vwdiesel] Priming a pump

This will also work to get a worn out engine to start. I've done that
sometimes when I just bought something non-running and I want to see
if it will start at all. Being able to crank it over at a couple
thousand rpm will get anything to run that is even marginal. I believe
it is also easy on the engine, because oil is pumping the entire time
that you're cranking, except for the very start. I ease out the
clutch, and then just let it keep going. I've had to tow a car for a
couple miles once when it was really worn out, but it still let me see
what was going on with it to get a slight amount of history before
tearing it apart. (This car was from an auction, as were most of my
old A1 VWs, and I had no history on them.) Every time they would at
least drive themselves back home. Only once was it so bad that it
needed to be immediately rebuilt. One other time a car was pretty worn
and using oil, but still not so bad that I couldn't put 10-20k on it
first. These cars just keep going, and I'm really impressed with them.
