[Vwdiesel] IP Question

My IP is occasionally leaking, no pattern to when it leaks but when it does it is a lot than after a short drive is fine. Crazy but sometimes it is fine for weeks and sometimes it leaks daily. I'm nearly finished with my waste vegiie oil conversion and this needs to be addressed before I wrap it up. 

Big trouble is it is in my  Grumman Kubvan and working clearance is tight. There is only 2 inches between the cover and sidewall. I need any advice for easy pump gear removal. In the past I used a 2 leg puller but in the Kubvan there is no room. Not enough for a puller or a plastic/brass hammer. Any ideas?

Also I have a pump reseal kit and a spare pump. I was thinking of resealing the spare pump but it has a different number,

Original pump - 068 130 109  C

Spare pump - 068 130 110 G

Can I use the 110 pump on it? Motor is a 84 1.6 N/A mechanical head.
