Usually the best way to clean it (internally) is to just drive it hard for a bit.  Kind of hard to
do iin limp mode though.  Although, it'll definitely run cleaner and not soot up that way!
  Recently put 3" exhaust on Dad's car.  First thing Jerry said was a warning about getting 
hurt and he hadn't driven the car, just snapped the throttle!  Next he showed me the old cat. 
It was TOTALLY plugged yet the car ran good other than lower rpm surging and still made 
over 45mpg!  Can't wait to see what it'll get now.  It'd do about 50 on trips.  Power should be 
hellatious, if I can find a place to use it!  :-)

Ha ha, well I guess Bentley agrees.  I didn't see a removal procedure for the 
urbo, but in the notes showing the diagram of the turbo and hoses, it says to 
emove the axle.  

ut it comes!

'm working on pulling the turbo to clean it with some oven cleaner, hoping that 
ill take care of the problem of limp mode, as just about everything else has 
een tried.
The turbo is loose, but trapped in the engine compartment!
It looked like a lot of people were pulling the intake manifold to get it out, 
ut I was wondering about pulling the axle instead.  It almost seems like that 
ight be easier and less work.  
The manifold does not need cleaning at this time; it was done not too long ago.
Thoughts?  Anyone tried it pulling the turbo from below?
