[Vwdiesel] Too cold

We do not get to cold here in NC but it did get down to 18° F one morning
and my 91 Jetta TD will get up to temp in 3 miles and in about a mile and
half I can feel warm air coming out of the heater.  It will actually cook
you out of the car. The temp gauge runs just to the left of the middle line.
I'm even running 20w-50 synthetic oil in it now year round since it has been
getting worse on oil consumption. About a qt in 400 miles of driving.
