[Vwdiesel] head gasket?

Yep hydraulic head. I spent about an hour perusing the web and found that it is a direct fit. I don’t have the Hylomar spray but I do have the tube version the I have used on head gaskets for years. Previous to that, I used to be able to find a liquid stuff that was used in air cooled air plane engines. Apparently you would spread this stuff on both sides of the engine block, add a thread made of cotton or something and then assemble. I never had a problem with a head assembled with that stuff. Tomorrow I intend to remove the oil cooler as that seems to be the easiest first step. Besides, I had to order the head gasket as NO ONE locally would even try to get it. Hayden
