Radios Station Readout - 1991 Coupe Q

I have a 1991 Coupe Quattro and don't get the radio station
readout, even though the Owners guide says it should display.

The dealer says that this option isn't really there for the
Coupe, only for the sedans. Is this true??
Anyone out there with a 1991 Coupe who does get the readout??
