Re: 1990 Audi 100 advice needed
Hi Marat,
I hope I'm not too late for `audi advice' I've been away for awhile.....
I've owned my 89 100 for about a year know and am very happy with it!!
Let's seeeee....... Well I can tall ya what I paid and what options
I have... that would be a start. It's an 89 100 no turbo no quattro,
It has leather, sunroof, automatic, climate control, about 48k (when I
bought it), and in near mint condition. I paid 10.900.- from a dealer.
He wanted 12,900.- As far as things to look out for, I'haven't really
had any problems, therefore I don't really know what to tell ya to look
for regarding this specific kind of car..... But some obvious stuff would
be take a real good look at the tires. They can tell you a lot about whether
the previous owner took care of the car or not. Are they worn on the sides ?
(possible hard cornering and abuse or lack of front end alignments) Is the
car clean inside and out ? under the hood ? any leaking fluids ?
any door dings ? (lots of door dings may indicate a 'who cares attitude' and
these are the kind of people who may let the oil changes go longer than
they should)
The things that were'nt mint where... digital clock had 2 leds that didn't
work, there is a small ding in the trunk where someone put something in it
that was maybe a 1/4 inch higher than the trunk and closed it. oops!
I paid 10.- for the clock, and picked up the ski bag and all the hardware for
25.- at ABC in leominster. Took maybe 6 hours to replace the clock and
install the ski bag.
as far as how much for that 90 100 ? I'd say try to get a hold of a
NADA book. I paid about 200.- over what the book said for Wholesale.
The dealer was asking for full retail.
Good Luck,
