Studs, was Re: bonehead drivers

I wish everybody who has studs would do this. I hate walking around town
and hearing the click-click of studs on dry or wet pavement that hasn't
seen snow/ice in weeks. If it snows, either put on chains, drive safely,
don't go out, or buy a quattro. It's that simple, may not be cheap, but
simple. I haven't owned studs in about 10 years. My previous car was a
'80 RWD Mazda 626, and it did fine in the snow, with the Pirelli P44s that
are on it.
