Stereo Installed...

Many Many thanks to everyone who responded
to my question on installing a stereo. Been
there, done that :)

You were right...the standard power lead to
the stereo in the 5k is "live" all the time,
and not just when the ignition is switched
on. So, i just shorted the "power" and 
"battery" leads of the stereo and linked
both to the power lead of the car.

Steve (Buckholz), the power-off condtion current
draw of the stereo is minimal, especially
with the faceplate detatched, so i didnt need
anything other than a fuse in the battery line.

IMHO, the Blaupunkt has a very powerful tuner
and manages to draw in some stations even without
an antenna (the car wash took care of the antenna
many moons ago :)
