yes, gates and co-founder paul allen bought 959's for the "used" price
of $1M each.  there has been rumors circulating around here that people
have seen the 959 going on east I90 late at night but i haven't seen
confirmation that it the real thing.

gates has a coupla nice cars, including a ferrari 340 and has gone
through many 911's since the early days.. but for daily commuting
he has a maroon LS400.  i've seen him driving that thing.. it's
hilarious..

he's sitting pretty close to the steering wheel, almost perched over
it and squinting his eyes through those coke bottles glasses...
