My family and I have owned five 4000s since 1982 -- over 700,000 miles worth
of experience in total -- and I have ALWAYS used ATF or Redline in the power
steering system.  Unlike our 5000s (on which rebuilding racks is a damn near
a maintenance item), I've never had a 4000 rack or ps pump leak so much as a
drop...
