First of all, we probably need to know WHICH CAR.

Here is one suggestion, if you have a 5k 86?? onward, there is
a relay which keeps the driver's window ggoing down once you
touch it once. It could be this relay.

Else, if ALL the windows ( and the sunroof, if you have one )
are not working, there is ANOTHER relay that decides
when they work ( and when they don't ) i.e. after you switch
the engine off but before you open the driver's side door.

Both these relays are just above the cruise control, sort of
halfway down a straight line between the steering column and
the front hood release lever.
