Re: diff locks

Hmmmm , not sure I disagree with your post, but Driving ProRally syle is not
necessarily the FTD, and a spining squeeling tire accel or braking is giving
traction away by definition.... A hard look at the suspension/braking
geometry of the car would be a longer term and better solution to the locking
rear diff idea.... You are generating heat that will eventually make you buy
that rear again glen.... Just a matter of time, next time you try this take
a temp reading on that rear diff open vs closed, my guess is, you might kick
that habit quickly (I did)..... Yes, in race conditions it's a neat program,
not for the timid, and (most track cars with locked diffs allow some slip,
the q's don't) are you getting the fastest time in the Prorally style of
controlled slides/skids, if you're driving syle is this, that trigger might
be a better program, and I found few conditions where that is an
advantage.... Sounds to me like the reason you're not spinning is that the
locked diffs make it tough to spin on accel or decel, becuz you now have two
equal drive/brake wheels.
