I have a question about how the rev limite works. Ony my '84 4000sq when
I hit the redline, the car bucks pretty hard. Not an elegant rev limiter
in my book... I read here on the net it is caused by fuel pump shutoff.
Is this really true? If the fuel pump is cut off, I still have plenty in
the lines and accumulator. To me it felt like ignition cutoff (Although I
never checked my tach at that point to see if it bounces...)
Just curious! (actually on my friends '86 4000sq he had part of his 'anti
theft' being a hidden switch to the fuel pump. It would run for a while
after switched off! ..but a pain to start next time!!)
