Well, the '84 has around 180,000 miles on it, and I haven't tried to get the
old end off yet.  However, price difference here is quite large.  I can get an
outer tie rod end for $23.85, but the whole assembly goes for $145.76.  Ouch!
 I need a pretty big incentive to take the expensive way here!
