My '89 Toyota Camry had the same problem. The battery was spanking new
(Sears DieHard) but has tendency to die on very next day (they even
replaced with another new one due to my complaint). No one could ever
find the problem. After about a month of bugging all the dealers and the
Sears' people, one dealer finally found the cause -- apparently the light
in the trunk stays on due to not enough contact on the switch that turns
the light off. How did they figure that? I don't want to know.
