Longitudinal engine layouts also have big advantages in engine cooling,
main bearing design, crank bore spacing restrictions, and intake, and
exhaust tuning, particularly with v engines.  Longitudinal also wins in
crashworthiness, hands down.  Packaging, and AWD variations are also good
reasons. 

	This is why Chrysler went this way on the new LH cars.
