Wet paint

Thanks for all the responces on the wet paint. I tried a plastic scraper.
Did a small section, let it dry, noticed fine scratches all over the place.
86-ed that.
Bug & Tar remover. The underside is tar free, but still had paint on it.
Talked to a body shop, they suggested wax and grease remover (used to prep
panels before painting) or carefully using deluted turpintine (sp?). W & G
remover didn't work. Turpintine (sp?) softened the clear coat, and I could
scratch it easily. I quickly washed it off. I don't think much harm was
done. Seems to still have the clear coat on it. Pissed off about all this
I grabbed a bug pad that was lying next to a bucket of hot soapy water and
started scrubing with alot of force. The paint started coming off. Did a
small section, then ran over to K-Mart and got a couple more. Finished off
the rest of the car. Still have some paint on the tires, but I'll get those
later. All told, ~4 hrs of scrubbing. My car is black/gray again. I'll
rewax it later this week.

Jez, I thought this would be a short post
