Ease of flushing...

When I was flusing the coolant system in the TQ this weekend, I discovered an
easy way of flushing the system without installing one of those "Tees" in the
heater hose. I simply removed the hose going into the auxiliary water pump. I
happened to have a garden hose that's broken in half (that's what happens when
you leave your hoses outside during the winter by the way) and the hose fit
PERFECTLY in the hose end. I just started the car, let it get warm (so the
thermostat opened) then turned onthe faucet ever so gently. I jmbed the other
end of the garden hose on the outlet of the aux. water pump, then could catch
all the antifreeze coming out in a bucket so as not to kill the environment
(I'd catch hell from someone on this list if I hadn't said that...) Anyhow,
this worked flawlessly, and was quite easy. YMMV.
