What? Oh, you mean the 'windows' that has a purpose! Forget it...

On the '86 4kq which uses the same switches...it always went bad. Seems 
like they run too much current through the contacts, and they carbon 
up.It takes more current to raise it then to lower it, so the raise 
contcacts (dpdt I beleive) get all screwed up after a while.  Not as bad 
as the '84 vintage tho...
It is possible to take them apart and clean the carbon off the switch 
contacts, and it should last a few more months...
