Dead cruise control=vacuum leak (5ktq)

    The cruise control on my '88 5000tq died some time back, and the cause 
    was a vacuum leak.  The hose going to the "plunger" (don't know the technical

    I found the leak by pressing the above mentioned plunger and hearing a 
    distinct hissing noise.  Now I'm wondering if that vacuum leak was causing
    any other anomalies...time will tell.

The cruise control is run off a separate vacuum pump in the 
turbos, so you should afffect nothing else...
