RE: pre-lube prior to first time startup

Hi Dan,

I have been starting to wonder about the same thing. I happen to have
an external oil pump from a pre-luber which I had installed on my TQC.
I was thinking of plumbing this into the engine and running it for maybe 30
seconds to pressurize the oil system and circulate the oil. On my old
engine it would build up 4 bar of pressure after a couple of seconds.

Maybe you could do the same thing with another type of pump(garden hose
drill pump even?). Put the pump input to a banjo fitting into the oil drain
plug
and the pump output into the block where the oil pressure sensor is. Mine
was hooked up this way before engine removal. You also could borrow my
pump if you need.
