Re: 4kqs Rear Suspension response
Kelly,
I found your original post to be an interesting, subjective account of your
experiences. I trust you and others won't be discouraged from sharing
other such posts.
There seem to be a wide array of people on this list, of tremendously
varied backgrounds, interests and capabilities. Some have lots of
practical experience, some have lots of theoretical technical background,
and most fall somewhere in between.
I find it valuable to get detailed technical input to help analyze and
solve problems. I also find it valuable to hear how something felt
subjectively, from someone with no axe to grind about the design. These
people are the customers of those doing the designing. I hope they don't
get ignored in the quest for the perfect solution.

Scott, I don't think your expertise was in question. It is more an issue
of perceived "bedside manner".

I resemble this remark, but not because I find the add personally interesting.
I work in a marketing group which is responsible for finding ways to
increase the market penetration of my company's products. Eibach's
marketeer's (apologies to Webster) felt that the ad in question would sell
their product to some segment of their target market. Maybe it does. If
so, it is a successful ad. That it doesn't appeal to other segments of
their market shouldn't reflect badly on the product. I'm sure their
development engineers would not appreciate being considered a bunch of
hacks because of one ad.

Sounds like a plan!
