To gain some of the benefits of wrapping the exhaust, but avoid helping to
cook the turbo, would it make sense to wrap from the cat to the tailpipe?

I did notice some exhaust wrap in JC Whitney.  It seems as if it would be
fairly simple to do using hose clamps every foot or so to hold it in place.
