Confusion on Shocks/Struts
OK Guys,
Ineed some serious help understanding all this. My car has 80k on it, the
driver rear shock is busted, the others are ok, but begging for retirement.
I've been asking all over town about the Boge Turbo Gas, and the only
thing I get is KYB this, KYB that, and KYB lifetime warranty, blah,
blah-blah, blah-blah. So - I call IPC, to finally order my fuel pump, and
ask him for Boge prices also (they are listed in the catlog). Turns out
they are Boge hydraulic -not gas. He explains to me about Sachs and Boge
merging and that Apparently Sachs will be hydraulic whereas Boge will be
gas, so I guess what they have listed as Sachs/Boge are the Hydraulic
version. Then he mentions that they have the KYBs, and the lifetime
warranty, and that of 900 pair he's sold only 2 returned.
So what's the deal with KYB, and why does everybody want to sell them to
me? and Where can I find what I'm really looking for which are the BTG's,
and why doesn't anybody want to really help me locate them? If the are in
fact available for my 80 non-Q...
I'm soooo confused! Thanks for helping
