FUCH! Wheels

Many thanks to all who responded to my query about the wheels on certain
5000CSQ's. The bottom line: they are forged aluminum made by Fuchs (supplier
to Porsche) and are very hard to find. In fact, they cost 435$ each at
Carlsen. I know everything about them except a part # and model #.

In any case, for a minute, I had a fellow enthusiast willing to swap me for
my 15x6 BBS's and I was ready to drive1400 miles round trip to Portland, OR
(from SF, CA). I was ready to leave (the excuse for my girlfriend, a
breathtakingly levelheaded gal would be "gone skiing"). UNFORTUNATELY, they
were the wrong wheels ):

So get this: My aunt has an '87 5000CSQW, pearl, exactly like mine with the
Fuchs. How the hell am I going to approach her on this one? Dear auntie,
haven't spoken with you in two years, wondering if you want to swap wheels
with me....

Season's greetings to all....
P.S. I really am going skiing this Friday. Can't wait to see how the 200
handles in the snow...
