New Toys!

Quattists,

I hope Santa was good to all of you. He was at my house. I also
have a birthday just before Christmas, so I get a double whammy every
year. I got a set of new shocks for my 5KCSTQ for the birthday, and a
new Uniden LRD 6199 SW Radar detector for Christmas.
Tonight I finally hooked up the heat in my garage. I have a pool
heater plumbed into a big Cadillac radiator, with the pool pump
circulating the water. I have one of the two fans on the rad working
from a 12V source. The other is shot. I have a replacement though.
When I was done, the shop (2 car garage, 22' x 20', uninsulated, yet) was
at 29 degrees F. Two hours later, it was at a comfy 50 degrees. The
heater isn't working quite right yet though. I'll call my friend in the
home HVAC business tomorow. I think the pressure switch isn't working
right, so it turns off the burner.
The pool hardware came with the house (so did the pool, but it was
far beyond repair) so it didn't cost me anything except the hardware to
assemble it all. I got an air hammer for Christmas, so I used that to
poke through the concrete block wall in the basement.
I also have a number of other toys to install over the holidays.
New front strut brace, SS brake lines, CV joint boots, APEX lowering
springs, fr strut bearings, and a few other little things.
