catalytic converter

        Suppose I was going to uhh race my '90 100Q in off highway/public
roads only, and for whatever reason, I wanted to remove my cat.
        ( would I need a dog to chase it? or would a mouse to make it leave
on it's own free will be more effective? how long could I expect the cat to
stay out befor it came back? If I took it out, would the humane society take
a used cat? Cuz I don't want one, I don't want to feed it or anything :)
        What kind of time frame and what kind of tools would I need to take
it out? Is it a simple procedure? One that I could follow - a REALLY simple
procedure?
