Mystery Oil

       I too have heard good things about Marvel Mystery Oil and heard that it
cures lifter noise.  But, I use Castrol 5W50 Syntec (synthetic) motor oil and
was wondering if you could mix a synthetic with this snake oil?  Me's thinking
no, but I figgured I'd ask anyways.

       BTW, I only have lifter noise a couple of secondes after startup, after
that it stops and no noise.  I think synthetic helps too.  But, I have heard
some clanging comming from the crankcase.  Any clue as to what this is or how
cure it?  I also have a noisy hydraulic pump.  But no real lifter noise!
