Problem encountered at CompuServe/Internet mail gate

Well folks,

I bought my Q today.  1988 5000CS Turbo Quattro.  It's got 77K miles from one
owner.  Pearl White with the five spoke Fuchs? wheels.  Navy blue leather
interior. All the bell and whistles etc. Nearly new Goodyear GAs.  I get it
Monday.  $7400.

It has a few things to fix.  The fuel pump is a little loud but the tank was
low.  If it is like all the zillions of Volvos I used to fix then I'll bet the
feed pump is shot.  Not a big deal.  
  The drivers seat heater isn't working.  Hope it's just the fuse or a relay or
something.  
   The antenna doesn't go up all the way.  It was 10 drgrees so maybe it was
just frozen.
   I'm going to have all the belts changed including the timing belt just to do
it.  I'll check whatever else while I'm in it.

So I'm going to check the FAQ for info on going to a CD player.  I don't even
own a cassette recorder anymore.  I know I saw info on all the options on the
CD.  But say I went with one of the remote play through the radio deals.  I give
up frequency response but do I hear it.  I mean with road noise etc. do I know
I'm not hearing to 18-20K?  I wonder.  But I'd rather have a single in the dash
player.  The Alpine in my Merkur has been flawless.

So I'm a happy guy looking forward to snow.
