First day with a Q

My back hurts!

Man, lots of shoveling here in CT. I got my Q on tuesday. Monday was obviously
out.
I did get some snow time for sure. The Goodyear GAs are OK. Better than the Z
rated tires from hell on the S6. The older type center diff seems to react more
like the RWD I'm used to than the later S6 type. But I've got a whole 36hrs
experience so far. A stab on the gas seems to help to rotate the rear around
some turns.

The owners manual seems to give more instances when you DON'T want to lock the
center than when you do. Interesting.

A fuse fixed the drivers memory/passenger power set problem. Brute strength got
the antenna up but of course it doesn't go down. It is a Fuba. Should I stick
with that or change brands. Any thoughts?

I've got a friend with a VW/Audi garage. He's getting me the Bentley books and
I need a new light switch assembly. It is a real trick to get the high beams
OFF. The stalk also feels flakey. This may fix the cruise control also. I'll
see.

He says 9 times out of 10 that the dead seat heater is the heating element
itself. He got a guy who unstitches the seats and replaces them. I'll do it
but other things need attending to.

I sometimes get the flashing beeping red brake warning. John feels it is the
nitrogen cylinder as the pump is already a rebuilt. He is assuming ot is slowly
losing pressure. He stocks these and the pumps so the parts are there for
trying. He also thinks the steering is heavy. It is heavy, I noticed that. He
offered to try the cylinder and see if it worked for the brakes and the
steering. I can get the brake warning if I pump the brakes hard twice.

What else, I know there was something else. Oh yeah. I've only seen 1.4bar
once and mostly 1.2-1.3 on the boost gauge. Normal?

I am happy though. I don't know if I could have driven in 20 inches of snow if
I wanted to. If they are right I can try again this weekend.

The headlights are crap. I'm thinking euro lights. I've driven Merkurs with
them and I have a set for mine. Too cold for that stuff though.
I have a video of the 1988? World Rally series and sometimes a 200Q shows
up. It has four round lights up front. All aero lights on the WRC cars seem to
have been fitted with four 5 1/4 lights, Fords, Subarus whatever so the kits do
exist. One of the places I import Xr/Cosworth Sierra parts from offers a 4
light kit for the Escort Cosworth. In Carbon fiber! And ABT has a kit for the
Golf/Jettas. Anybody tried them for an Audi.

So for now I'm fixing all the basic stuff. And I (not my back) want more
snow! Any advice on dealing with the amped speakers and an Alpine head? Just
thinking.

What kind of plugs do I want? I'M KIDDING!
