1988-89 MC Turbo Engine

Hello,

In case anyone is searching for a early or late 89 200TQ......

When I was wading through the parts micro-fische for the 89-90 200TQ and I found the VIN number 
indicating when the MC engine went from the low compression 7:8 to 1 pistons to the higher compression 
pistions (8:4 to 1), smaller turbo, different camshaft, dual knock sensors, different fuel distributor , 
fuel pressure regulator etc. Some of the turbo/intercooler hoses were changed as well.

The change occurred between the  10/88 and 11/88 manufacturing dates at
  VIN  number 44 KN038263.
