HELP MY 4KQ!

I am a proud owner of an '85 4KQ - and I desperately need to start
repairing/replacing things on it.  The trouble is - I need help and as much
aadvice as I can get!  I am a semi-capable guy whn it comes to fixing cars -
but I know my limitations..

Can anyone offer ANY suggestions on the following 4KQ issues?  I'd be so
very appreciative!

1.      My clutch doesn't pop back out after I shift.  I have to manually
PULL it out with my foot, and it makes driving very difficult.  If I so much
as TAP the pedal, it gets sucked to the floor somehow.. any ideas?

2.      My rear muffler is gone.. rusted and broken. OEM or aftermarket?
Suggestions?  Can I install this thing myself with normal tools?

3.      Heated seats - DEAD.  My favorite. It ain't the fuses! any ideas?
Is it worth the $$$?

4.      Front left 'LOOSE KNOCKING' feeling over bumps.  Every bump I hit -
it feels like the wheel will seperate from the rest of the car.  It also
makes an awful scraping metalic noise.  CV Joints?  Brakes?  Bearings?  Anyone?

5.      Suspension/Rims/Tires.  Time to upgrade.  Can anyone recommend a gas
shock/strut replacement for me? how about tires and rims?  Bilstein says I
need two different kinds.. HELP

6.      CENTRAL LOCKING SYSTEM.. IT WON'T LIGHT UP!!!  why?  One Audi guy
said it was the fumes from my aftermarket battery!  I miss the lock!  The
strange thing is that the rear is fine.. but locking it in winter weather
without locking the center is like riding a dirtbike in the snow!  Sideways
everywhere!


I REALLY want to keep this car.  I know it needs lots of work - but I think
it's worth it!  It has 124K and it goes strong!  Can someone recommend a
good mechanic in the Boston area?  I plan on dropping a lot of $$$ to get
this car in shape!
