Re Cup Holders

Brooks Ellis wants comments on the V8. I got em. I've also got the dummy
brakes and old software, and IMHO that's okay for street or even exciting
driving. If your dream has a good service record, hasn't been in a bad
fight and reconstructed in some chop shop--and can pass a complete physical
by a competent doc--BUY. 120k isn't even broken in for the engine and drive.
I paid 20K for mine last year. For the diff. you can do a lot of good things
. Eliot has much more experience with the V8 and may comment, but after a
whole bunch of Audi's in my past I find the V8 (after initial teething probs
) relatively trouble free. Well, kind of. 110 bucks for a single ignition
cable??? Parts are high, and so few V8's were imported there is little
aftermarket support, therefore it's a dealer's dream. But the little
nagging Audi probs I've had in the past just haven't shown--yet. (Please,
dear Audi God, let me pay for Christmas first). Too much bandwidth required
to list the auto stuff in my past, including 5 BMW's through 7-series, but
without any BS, the V8 is the most competent and enjoyable of the bunch.
Wouldn't trade it for a new non-Audi anything else. Be sure the guy that
gives the inspection knows all about V8's. Don't know your location, but
there is enough knowledge on our list to point you the right direction.
